What this tool does

Clean extra spaces, tabs, and blank lines using only the options you turn on. Use it on a pasted log or a list that picked up stray indentation. Trim-each-line overrides the separate leading and trailing boxes, and leaving those options off keeps the indentation.

How to use

1. Paste text that has extra spaces, tabs or blank lines.
2. Select only the cleanups you want. Nothing runs until you press Clean text.
3. Review line and character counts, then copy or download the result.
4. Clear the boxes to discard the text. It is not saved.

Examples

• Indented log lines

  Trim each line, or remove leading whitespace only if you need to keep trailing spaces.

• Mixed tabs and spaces

  Convert tabs to 2 or 4 spaces, then collapse repeated spaces if you want a single-space layout.

Each option is explicit. Trim-each-line overrides separate leading/trailing checkboxes for that pass. Remove blank lines drops every empty row; collapsing blank lines keeps a single empty row between blocks.

Is the Whitespace Remover free?

Yes. Cleaning extra spaces, tabs, and blank lines is free, and no account is required.

Is my input sent to a server?

No. The cleanup stays in this tab. The text is not posted anywhere and not kept in local storage.

Will it destroy my indentation?

Only if you enable trim, leading-strip or tab conversion. Leave those off to keep indentation.

How do I remove double spaces from text?

Turn on the option that collapses repeated spaces. Runs of spaces inside each line become a single space.

How do I delete empty lines?

Use remove blank lines to drop every empty line, or collapse blank lines to keep one empty line between paragraphs.
