How it works
Area is length times width. A room entered in feet is converted with 0.09290304 square meters per square foot. A room entered in meters is converted the other way. Blank extra rows are skipped.
Tips
- Leave an extra room blank if you do not need it.
- Use the same kind of measurement on both sides of one room.
Limitations
The page measures rectangles. It does not subtract closets or add triangles.

- How do you calculate square footage?
- Multiply length by width. For several rooms, add each room's area.
- How are square feet converted to square meters?
- One square foot is 0.3048 times 0.3048 square meters, which is 0.09290304.
- Can rooms use different units?
- Yes. Each room has its own feet or meters choice, and the totals are converted into both units.
- What if an extra room is blank?
- A row with no length and no width is skipped.
- Are negative sizes allowed?
- No. A negative length or width is rejected.
- Are these numbers sent to a server?
- No. Length and width are multiplied in this tab. Those measurements are not sent to a server.
