JSON to CSV
Turn an array of JSON objects into CSV, including commas and quotes inside cells.
Turn CSV with a header row into JSON, including quoted commas and escaped quotes.
CSV to JSON reads a header row and quoted cells, then writes formatted or compact JSON.
This tool runs in your browser. Inputs, files and generated values stay on this device. Favorites and recently used tools, if you use them, store only tool names in local storage — never passwords, documents or QR contents. See the privacy policy.
Paste CSV whose first row is the column names. You get a JSON array of objects, either spaced for reading or compact for a file.
name, age then John,30 and Sara,25 becomes two objects with name and age. Age stays a string, because CSV cells are text.
The row "Doe, Jane",25 keeps Doe, Jane as one name. The comma inside the quotes is not a new column.
The parser walks the text. A quote starts a cell, and the next undoubled quote ends it. A comma outside quotes starts a new cell. A line break outside quotes starts a new row. The first row becomes the keys. Later rows become objects. A row with more cells than the header is rejected so extra values are not dropped.
There is no option to skip the header or to pick a different delimiter. A semicolon-separated file will not split on semicolons. A row that is longer than the header stops the conversion.

Pretty-print JSON, minify it, or check that it parses in the page. Comments, trailing commas, and single quotes fail. It does not turn the result into CSV.
Test a regular expression against sample text and see each match, its position, and its groups.
Create a SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 digest of text in your browser. This is a hash, not encryption.
Encode text to Base64 or decode it back, using UTF-8. Anyone can decode the result, so it is not a way to hide a password. A file drop is not accepted.
Generate one or many UUID v4 values in your browser using a secure random source.
The first row is used as the column names.
The CSV stays in your browser. It is not uploaded.
