Regex Tester
Test a regular expression against sample text and see each match, its position, and its groups.
Create a SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 digest of text in your browser. This is a hash, not encryption.
A hash generator creates a SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 digest in the browser. A hash is not encryption and cannot be turned back into the text.
This tool runs in your browser. Inputs, files and generated values stay on this device. Favorites and recently used tools, if you use them, store only tool names in local storage — never passwords, documents or QR contents. See the privacy policy.
Create a SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512 digest of text you type. The digest is a one-way fingerprint. It is not an encrypted copy of the text, and it is not a password.
The text abc with SHA-256 is ba7816bf8f01cfea414140de5dae2223b00361a396177a9cb410ff61f20015ad. If you see that string, this page and another SHA-256 tool agree.
Hash the note, send the note and the digest on separate channels, and hash the note again on the other side. If the digests differ, the note changed.
A hash function maps text to a fixed-length digest. The same text and the same algorithm always produce the same digest. You cannot turn the digest back into the text with this tool. People use SHA-256 and the longer SHA-2 hashes to check integrity. MD5 and SHA-1 are older hashes and are a poor choice for a new integrity check, so they are not offered here.
This hashes text encoded as UTF-8. It does not hash a file. It does not encrypt anything, and it does not prove who wrote the text. A browser without Web Crypto cannot create the digest.

Pretty-print JSON, minify it, or check that it parses in the page. Comments, trailing commas, and single quotes fail. It does not turn the result into CSV.
Encode text to Base64 or decode it back, using UTF-8. Anyone can decode the result, so it is not a way to hide a password. A file drop is not accepted.
Generate one or many UUID v4 values in your browser using a secure random source.
Encode or decode URL components in your browser with encodeURIComponent.
Convert Unix timestamps to dates and dates back to timestamps, in seconds or milliseconds.
Guide
Draw 1 to 200 integers or decimals between a minimum and a maximum. Unique mode works for integers only.

Hash pasted text with SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512. The hex is a fingerprint, not a way back to the text.

Generate a password from 8 to 64 characters in the browser. The strength label is an estimate from length and set size.

Build .gitignore text from Node, Next.js, environment, and other templates. Generating the text does not update a repository.

Rate a password from its length and character pool. Under 50 bits is Short, under 80 is Moderate, and 80 or more is Strong.

Encode text to Base64 after UTF-8, or decode it back. The result is not encryption.

Generate 1 to 100 random UUID version 4 values. They are not sequential keys or passwords.
Read guideThis creates a one-way hash for checking that text has not changed. It does not encrypt the text, and it does not store a password.
Hash
The hash will appear here.
Hashing runs in your browser with Web Crypto. MD5 and SHA-1 are not offered here. They are legacy hashes and a poor choice for new integrity checks.
