Kortingscalculator

Pas een kortingspercentage toe op een prijs en zie wat je bespaart en wat je betaalt. Voer alleen getallen in: valutatekens zijn ongeldig en een korting boven 100% wordt geweigerd.

What this tool does

Take a percent off a price and see the amount saved and the final price. Shoppers and anyone writing a sale price can use it when the offer is a simple percent off. Type plain numbers: a currency symbol is rejected, and the discount cannot go above 100%.

How to use

  1. Enter the original price as a number, without a currency symbol.
  2. Enter the discount percentage.
  3. Press Calculate to see the discount amount and the final price.

Examples

  • 50 off by 20%

The discount is 10. The final price is 40.

  • A 100% discount

    The final price is 0.

How it works

The discount amount is original price × discount ÷ 100. The final price is the original price minus that amount. The tool does not assume a currency, so 19.99 means 19.99 in whatever unit you are using.

Limitations

Type the price and the percent as plain numbers. A currency symbol is invalid, and a discount above 100% is rejected. Sales tax and a tip split are not part of this subtraction.

FAQ

Is the Discount Calculator free?
Yes. Taking a percent off a price and showing the amount saved is free here, with no signup.
Can I enter a currency symbol?
Enter numbers only. Adding a symbol such as $ or € will be treated as invalid input.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. The price and the percent stay on this page for the subtraction. They are not posted to a server or saved in local storage.
How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the price by the discount percent and divide by 100 to get the amount off, then subtract it from the price. 25% off $80 is $20 off, so you pay $60.
Are two discounts of 20% the same as 40% off?
No. A second 20% is taken from the already reduced price, so 20% off and then another 20% off is 36% off in total, not 40%.
