Die ausführliche Anleitung zu diesem Tool (Bedienung, Beispiele und FAQ) ist vorerst nur auf Englisch verfügbar.

What this tool does

Turn pasted text into an A4 or Letter PDF, with wrapping, an optional title, and optional page numbers. Use it for meeting notes that should be a simple document. Characters Helvetica cannot draw become a question mark, and input longer than 100,000 characters is refused.

How to use

  1. Paste or type the text. Optionally add a title.
  2. Choose A4 or Letter, a margin, font size and line spacing. Turn page numbers on if you want them.
  3. Press Create PDF. Long lines wrap. Extra pages are added as needed.
  4. Download the PDF. Clear the box when you are done; nothing is stored.

Examples

  • Meeting notes

Paste a few paragraphs, keep medium margins and 12 pt type, then download. Page numbers help if the notes run past one page.

  • A very long log

The tool caps input so the tab stays usable. Split huge logs first. Characters that Helvetica cannot draw are replaced with “?”.

How it works

Pages are built with pdf-lib and the standard Helvetica font. Text is wrapped to the content box. Helvetica covers Latin and a limited set of extra characters, not every Unicode script. The tool reports how many characters were replaced rather than pretending the font is universal.

Limitations

Pages use Helvetica. Characters that font cannot draw become “?”. Input longer than 100,000 characters is refused. Font size stays between 8 and 24 points, and the page size is A4 or Letter. Images and styled HTML are not placed in the document.

See the disclaimer for what these tools do not cover.

FAQ

Is the Text to PDF converter free?
Yes. Turning pasted text into a PDF does not require payment or an account.
Can I use any language?
Latin text usually works. Many other scripts are outside Helvetica’s coverage and will show as “?”. This is a font limit, not a language filter.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. The PDF is built in this tab from the text you paste. That text is not uploaded and not saved in local storage.
How do I turn a text file into a PDF?
Paste the text, choose A4 or Letter, the font size, margins, and page numbers, then create and download the PDF.
Why do some characters show as a question mark?
The PDF uses the Helvetica font, which cannot draw every script or emoji. Characters it cannot draw are replaced with ?.
